Hey Y'all. I'm Jamie and this is my blog. I'm no mommy blogger, crazy nutritional blogger, crazy athletic blogger, food blogger, or much of a craft blogger. But I do enjoy cooking on occasion, exposing non-southerners to southern food, cuisine from nearly any genre or ethnicity, craft beer, arts and crafts, sewing, mountain biking, running, hiking, camping, and whatever else new hobby I acquire. I have a lot of interests and I tend to float from one to another; this blog is pretty clear evidence of that. I may share food one day, crafts another, political commentary the next, and teaching posts after that. I may eventually split the blog off and create something new, but we'll see.I teach hobbyists and craftspeople how to promote their work online through blogging and social media and advise towns on how to promote their downtown revitalization or community events online.
I'm a MPA (Master in Public Affairs) graduate student, North Carolina native, Asheville resident, volunteer coordinator and event manager. I love downtowns and I'm an economics nerd, occasionally spending hours on excel spreadsheets manipulating census data, budgets or trying to figure out growth and growth potential in an area.
I love Western North Carolina... the mountains, the culture, the people.
